Come to Hong Kong

Situated at the south-eastern tip of China, Hong Kong is a unique meeting place for East and West, blending Chinese heritage, British colonial influences, high-tech modernity and Cantonese gusto. It offers a diversity of travel experiences, from shopping to gourmet dinning, countryside pursuits and unique cultural heritage.

Hong Kong's climate is sub-tropical. During November and December there are pleasant breezes, plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Many people regard these as the best months of the year.

Arrival and departure
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is served by a highly efficient and comprehensive transport network, making it easy to get to and from. The Airport Express links HKIA directly to Hong Kong's central business district and buses connect the airport with most of the city. Taxis, limousines and coaches provide additional choices for passengers.

Passports and visa
All visitors to Hong Kong must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the planned departure date from Hong Kong. Nationals of most countries do not require visas and can stay for periods varying from 7 days to 180 days, depending on nationality. If unsure of status, please check with your local Chinese embassy or consulate and the visa requirements at the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
