APCO (Asia Pacific Council of Optometry) is a non-profit organization established to advocate for the profession of optometry in the Asia Pacific region and to enhance access to primary eye health and vision care. Our focus is on connecting optometry associations from countries within the Asia and Pacific regions to facilitate exchange and collaboration in an international forum. Our aim is to promote high standards of education for optometrists and advocate for recognition of optometrists’ competencies by both government and non-government agencies. By becoming a member of our association, we can collaborate to strengthen the position of optometry and guarantee a high standard for the profession, ultimately benefiting the public.
